Willis Warren Partee

Willis Warren Partee, 85, of Charlotte, died Sunday June 18th. Born November 28th, 1931 Newell, NC. Mr. Partee was the son of the late Fermor Barrett Partee and Emma Wilson Partee. He was a graduate of Newell High School, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and retired auto mechanic. He is survived by his daughter Julie Partee Jackson (Thomas) of Matthews and son John Baxter Partee of Monroe. Two grandchildren Kristin Tosto(Elliott) of Apex, NC and John Chase Partee of Mooresville, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Mr. Partee was a longtime member of Newell Baptist Church. He owned and operated Partee Auto Service. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 0287 and Newell Masonic Lodge 0739. Formally with the Oasis Shrine Club he drove a Dune Cat and later drove the Dune Cat wrecker. He was a member of the 6 Point Hunt Club in Richmond County, NC. He was an avid hunter and lived for deer and turkey season. He loved the mountains and being outdoors.
