Virgie Annette Helms

Virgie Blanchard Helms, 79, of Monroe passed away April 6, 2016. She was born January 18, 1937, in Union County to the late Willie Reid and Sarah Irene Broome Blanchard. Mrs. Helms is survived by her daughters, Kathy Page(Nelson), Karen Lynch(Ken), Kim Helms(John), Kristen May(Craig), sibling Brenda Gerwitz(Ray) and Fourteen Grandchildren and Thirteen Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Ray Blanchard. The family will visit with relatives and friends on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Love Baptist Church at 707 Deese Road Monroe, NC 28110. The funeral service will follow visitation at 3:00pm. Interment will follow in the Love Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family would like to thank the staff at Jesse Helms Nursing Center and Hospice of Union County for the loving care that was given to Mrs. Helms.
