Ruth was born March 15, 1931, in West Frankfort, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late James Harris and Anna Smith Harris. Her immediate family includes her two sons, Bruce Dial and his wife, Linda, of Pineville, and Mark Dial and his wife, Laura, of Williamsburg, Virginia; nine grandchildren. -
