Ronald Logan Cogar

Ronald Logan Cogar, 72, of Waxhaw, but formerly of Matthews, passed away at home early Tuesday morning, September 14, 2010. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Hazel Helms Cogar, and other caring family members. Ron was born in Akron, Ohio, March 20, 1938. Following service in the Air Force, he became a commercial truck driver and for forty-seven years drove without accident. After twenty-seven years of service, he retired as a driver with Family Dollar Stores in Matthews. In addition to his wife, Hazel, of Waxhaw, his immediate family includes six children, six grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
