Robert Bruce Westberry

Robert Bruce ("Bruce") Westberry, 89, passed away on July 8, 2016, in Matthews, NC. Mr. Westberry was born July 11, 1926, in Coconut Grove, FL, to James A. Westberry and Lura Elizabeth Butler. He attended Ponce de Leon High, Coral Gables, FL and the University of Florida, Gainesville. Mr. Westberry retired from Southern Bell (AT&T) after 35 years. He is survived by his daughter, Dotti Jenkins (Stan), Mint Hill, NC; granddaughter, Jordan Springs (Daniel) Monroe, NC; two great grandsons, Bentley and Keegan Springs; stepsisters Betty Ann Sass (Fred), Ocala, FL, and Nancy Vickers (Clay), Destin, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, son, Gary; sister, Pauline Reasoner; brothers Lloyd, Harvey, Fane, Jimmy, Hugh, and Leroy; stepsister Leila Bowling. A private family service is planned.
