Ralph Howard Cogdell

Ralph Howard Cogdell, of Charlotte, North Carolina, 91, died at home peacefully Sunday, February 26, 2017 surrounded by family. He is now home with his Savior. Ralph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ernestine, sons Keith, Kevin and daughter Karla, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Kelly, granddaughter Stephanie, and son-in-law Donald Elliott. Ralph served as infantryman in WWII beginning with the Invasion of Normandy, and was discharged as military police. After retiring with Thurston Motor Lines, he drove a shuttle at the airport, retiring a second time in his mid 80s. Ralph was faithful to church, family and friends, and was dearly loved. For those that desire, memorials can be made to Mulberry Baptist Church. -
