Paul Edward Welch, Jr.

Mr. Paul Edward Welch Jr., 66, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away Friday evening, June 3, 2011, at home, surrounded by his loving and caring family. Mr. Welch was born July 14, 1944, in Lancaster, South Carolina. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam Era. Following his service years, he entered, and graduated from the University of South Carolina. His immediate family, in addition to his mother, Sadie Welch, of Great Falls, South Carolina, includes his wife, Patty Welch, of the home; his children, Susan Crosby Welch of Lexington, South Carolina, Sara Hetzel, and her husband, Scott, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Patrick Lee Welch, Justin Ferguson, and Matthew Ferguson and his wife, Lisa, all of Marshville; eight grandchildren. *
