Nathan Paul Cranford of Monroe, North Carolina, left for his heavenly home on Monday, February 25, 2013. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 15, 1978, his red hair and engaging laugh charmed all who met him. But most of all, Nathan loved The Muppets and was their greatest fan. Nathan enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest with no regrets. Nathan attended Long School in Concord through middle school and then attended Mt. Pleasant High School. He lived with his parents until he was 19 years old when he moved into the Karen Lane Group home in Monroe where he lived with 5 other residents. He loved his housemates and the staff who took such good care of him. After being hospitalized with pneumonia on January 23rd, Nathan was diagnosed with stage-four cancer two weeks later. He died peacefully in the home of his parents on February 25th surrounded by people he loved and who loved him deeply. Nathan's immediate family includes his parents, Ron Cranford and Carol Tarlton Cranford of Harrisburg, North Carolina; sister, Carrie Cranford of Charlotte, North Carolina; paternal grandmother, Pauline Fowler Cranford of Charlotte; maternal grandparents Brady and Betty Belk Tarlton of Charlotte. *In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Karen Lane Group Home.
