Michelle Mohar

January 20, 1962 — September 6, 2019

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 "To everything a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die..."
Lisa Michelle King Mohar, purposed by God and born January 20, 1962, and died on September 6, 2019, with family and friends by her. Michelle was known by many for her outgoing personality, desire to entertain, and love of cooking. Michelle started making an impact to those she encountered through dance at an early age. In high school, Michelle made her mark in sports. In her adult years, Michelle impacted thousands as a Flight Attendant for Delta Airlines. It was during this period she met and became lifelong best friends with Karen Reed. It was also during this time Michelle met and married the father of her greatest accomplishment and love, her two children: Allison (Allie) and Robert (Bobby). Michelle's latest joy came in granddaughter, Darian. Michelle's last adventure brought her back to the "place where she belonged, North Carolina" (not West Virginia like the song goes). Michelle loved and always said she wanted to come back home. Michelle found a calling in the medical field and was a part of Atrium Health, delivering health care in Boulder, Colorado and Charlotte. Michelle loved to cook, travel and spend time in the garden with her fiance, Jim Burton. Michelle was preceded in death by her father Edward (Ed) King whom she cherished. She leaves behind daughter Allison (Allie) Rhodes, granddaughter Darian Dika, devoted son Robert (Bobby) Mohar and daughter-in-law Erin Frazier, a loving mother, Jeanne King, younger sister Misti and brother-in-law William (Billy) Elting, and older brother Michael (Mike) and sister-in-law Donna King; nieces Megan Mason, Molly King, Haley, Alyssa and Lyndsey Elting and nephews Steven Grainger and Michael King Jr. A memorial of the life of Michelle will occur on Saturday, September 14, 2019, 10:00am at University City United Methodist Church, 3835 W.T. Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC. The family wishes to thank the staff of Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center - Main, fifth floor, Dickson Heart ICU, for their loving and tender care of Michelle and especially to Jess for the gift of "Michelle's heartbeat in a bottle" she constructed for each family member. Such love should never go unrewarded.
