Michael Kent Irby

Michael Kent Irby, 60, of Waxhaw, but formerly of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday evening, January 12, 2011, while in the care of the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. Mr. Irby was a veteran of the U.S. Army and during the Vietnam War served three tours of duty. Following service to his country, he was employed by Piedmont Airlines, which later became US Airways. He retired from that company after 25 years of service. His immediate family includes his wife, Sandra Bye Irby; his son, Kent Cover Irby; and his grandson, Michael Graham Irby.
