Laurie J. Harlost

Laurie Janet Harlost passed away on January 23, 2012 at her home in Indian Land, SC at the age of 62. She died peacefully in the presence of her husband, Mike, and her daughter, Jodi. Laurie was born in Auburn, NY on March 17, 1949 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Milton and Eleanor Rice. She is survived by her husband, Mike, her sisters, Marsha and Kathy, and her children, Matthew, Jodi, Kathleen, Bernadette, Jeffrey, Elizabeth, Paulette, and Kevin. Laurie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend and found her joy in extending love to others. She graduated from Sydney Central High School in 1967 and attended one year of Lycoming College. In her younger years, she worked as a medical assistant and went on to run Miss Laurie's Daycare for 12 years and Accents gift shop for 9 years. Laurie loved to walk, bake, entertain friends, and spend time with her children. She also spent time volunteering at church and with various non-profit organizations such as the Rock Hill Attention Home. Above all, Laurie loved the Lord and found joy in her relationship with Christ. She influenced many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. - -
