Larry Morris Conrad September 15, 1966 - July 26, 2021

Larry Morris Conrad, 54, went home to serve our Lord and Savior after battling cancer on July 26, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving and caring family. Larry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Teresa Tarkka Conrad, daughters Ashlee and Kaitlyn Conrad, mother Doris Conrad Whaley (preceding death by his stepfather Jim Whaley II), father Larry Conrad, his 2 brothers Russ Conrad and Jimmie Whaley III, and 3 grandchildren.

Larry was born on September 15, 1966 in Lexington Kentucky. Larry and his wife met while working at the Fish Farm in Matthews, NC. Larry loved working under the hoods of his classic Cougars with his stepdad Jim and his father-in-law Richard. He was the ultimate grill master and loved shooting his guns. He loved his music loud, his Kentucky Wildcats, and most importantly his family. With his wife, they raised their 2 daughters who both had the loving privilege to work alongside their daddy with his businesses. He truly spoiled all his girls including the family pets. Many memories of family fun such as video games, competitive board games, puzzles, beach vacations, and so much more will forever be treasured with laughter and love.

Larry was a very honest, loyal, strong willed man who never gave up at anything but most importantly turned his life over to Jesus Christ. He was a jack-of-all trades and we are going to miss everything about him. He will never be forgotten, always loved, and truly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask to make a monetary donation to ASPCA (helping animals in need) in honor of Larry Morris Conrad. Even though we didn’t know you very long we will miss the stories traded across the fence where we learned we actually went to the same high school and lived in the same neighborhood in our first houses… Such a small world!… Teresa, Ashlee and Kaitlyn, we pray for the Lord’s peace that passes all understanding as you process your loss. We are here for you.
