Joyce Crabtree Dobbs

Joyce Crabtree Dobbs, 85, of Charlotte, North Carolina, went to be with her family and her Lord early Tuesday morning, August 23, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Dobbs, Sr., her son, Robert Lee Dobbs, Jr., two sisters, and two brothers. Her immediate family includes her daughter, Lynda Dobbs Montgomery, of Charlotte; her brother, Bill Crabtree, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three granddaughters, Robin Benjamin, and her husband, Walter, of Charlotte, Tina Kent, and her husband, Jim, of Concord, and Karyn Love, and her husband, John, of Charlotte; six great grandchildren, Joshua Sullivan, Chelsea Sullivan, Jackson Benjamin, Griffith Kent, Sawyer Kent, and Roxie Jane Love; nephews, Ken Martin of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Bradford Dobbs of Oklahoma. The family would like to express a special "thank you" to Sandra Hudson for her loving care during Joyce's later years. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that memorial contributions be made in Ms. Dobbs' name to the Humane Society of Charlotte. Service Extra Info The family will gather at the graveside in Sharon Memorial Park. Those attending should enter the cemetery from the Sharon Amilty Road side gate. The committal location will be found to the right of the mausoleum in the rear of the cemetery.
