Joan Rae Larson

Joan Rae Fish Larson, 85, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, November 6, 2011, surrounded by loved ones. Born August 24, 1926, in Janesville, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Fish, Sr. and Thelma VanAntwerp Fish. Joan was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Ray Fish, Jr. and Jan Fish,and her sister, Barbara Haffenden. Joan was a loving mother to her children, Candice E. Azzalino of Amarillo, Texas, Robbin Doumanian and husband, John,of Huntersville, North Carolina, Leslie Behrendt, and husband, Nick, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Jan Larson of Montreal, Ontario. Jane was blessed with grandchildren, Monique Williams, and husband, Drew; Broc Behrendt, and wife, Jacqueline, Britni Behrendt, Gabrielle Larson; great grandchildren, Lindsay Williams, Colin Williams, and Gabrielle Burt; one sister, Yvonne Gilbert of Ashland, Wisconsin; one brother, Jack Fish of Milton, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Denise Fish, Bonnie Fish, Judith Brenner, and husband, Bob,: brother-in-law, Robert Larson, and wife, Wilma. Joan had a large extended family with numerous nieces and nephews that she cherished along with many dear friends whom she loved and were always there for her, namely, Kay Donaldson, Donald Larson, and Ernest Eggleston. Joan's family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the comfort and care provided by Pastor Gary and the entire staff of Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care.
