Jerry Wendell Walters

Mr. Jerry W. Walters born April 5, 1944 and resided at Old Salisbury-Concord Road Kannapolis, NC passed away Saturday September 5th of diabetes related complications. He was a native of Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Aubrey and Dollie Coates Walters. Jerry was a Vietnam Era Army Veteran. While stationed in Alaska he survived The Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964. He was active in the community helping with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA and other organizations. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. Jerry was a hard worker in the HVAC business and started his own family business in the early 80's. Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jo Ann Lyerly Walters; son Tim Walters and daughter Lorrie Walters; grandchildren Lacy Dobler, Logan Ward and Austin Walters; great granddaughter Stella Dobler; sister Audrey Walters Belk and brother Jack Walters. He is also survived by many other loving and supportive family members. Memorial donations may be made to Mt.
