Holly L. Trent

Holly Lawrence Trent, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister went to be with her Lord, Friday, July 20, 2018. Born in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1953, she was a graduate of Brookville High School and attended Central Virginia Community College, where she met her husband, Larry. Following their marriage, they lived in Knoxville, Tennessee during their college years and eventually settled in Charlotte, North Carolina. Holly enjoyed literature, writing, and loved days at the ocean and boating on nearby lakes. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. Holly will always be fondly remembered for her sweet and gentle spirit and was loved by all who came to know her. She leaves to cherish her memory her faithful and loving husband, Larry Trent; son, Jacksen and daughter-in-law, Ashely Trent, and grandsons, Jax and Knox Trent. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Jean Lawrence; brother, Vic Lawrence; aunt, Joyce Manley; nephew, Kevin Lawrence; and mother-in-law, Thelma Trent. Many other relatives and special friends remain to cherish her memory. Holly was preceded in death by her father, William P. Lawrence, Jr., and brother, William H. Lawrence. A memorial service for Holly will be held at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, NC on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 2 PM. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service and other times at the residence (2811 Vidalia Ct, Monroe, NC 28110). -
