Evelyn Cowan Millerstrom

Evelyn Cowan Millerstrom, of Charlotte, went home to be with her Lord October 28, 2011, at the Harris Hospice unit at Presbyterian Hospital. She was a graduate of Bear Grass High School, Williamston, NC, and attended East Carolina University. She was an active and faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church where she has attended for more than 17 years. She served in many aspects of the church, including bus ministry, nursery, Foster club, choir and women's ministries. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and devoted her life to serving others through Christ's love! She is survived by her son, David Millerstrom; daughter, Lisa Wynn; grandchildren, Tyler Millerstrom, who is serving his country in Afghanistan, April, Allie, and Carson Wynn of York, SC; brothers, Earl Cowan, of Durham, NC ,and Phillip Cowan, of Chapel Hill, NC; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family has selected two organizations for those that wish to make a memorial gift in Evelyn's name.
