Edward James "Ed" Holloway

Edward James Holloway Mr. Holloway, age 84, of Mint Hill, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010. He was born June 28, 1926 in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late Edwin and Virginia Holloway. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jean; his children, Kenneth, wife Donna; Sharon, husband Dick; and Doris, husband Noel. He was blessed with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Holloway served his nation as a Seaman in U.S. Navy during WW II, was a life member of the American Legion, and also the VFW of Mint Hill. For 29 years he served as Fire Captain with the Paterson Fire Department in Paterson, NJ. He also was a volunteer with the Mint Hill Fire Department. He has been an active member of Blair Road United Methodist Church.
