Betty Ruth Helms

Betty Ruth Helms, 81, of Marshville, NC, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 6, 2016. Betty was born in Union County, North Carolina, December 1, 1934. She was the daughter of the late John Hinson and Ethel Thomas Hinson. Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Thomas (Boone) Helms and two sons, Ronnie Helms and Gene Helms. Her immediate family includes four children, Linda Helms Austin and her husband, Hal Austin, of Oakboro/ Peachland, NC, Thomas Helms of Marshville, NC, Daniel Helms of Monroe, NC, Karen Helms Williams and husband, Eric Williams, of Peachland, NC; along with ten grandchildren, Lorie Strawn Eury, Adam Strawn, Lisa Strawn Dales, James Helms, Christian Helms, Cody Williams, Hailey Williams, Dustin Helms, Timothy Helms, and Cameron Helms; nine great-grandchildren, Dalton and Macie Eury, Braxton and Garrett Strawn, Lydia, Bethany, Robbie, Kelly, and Benjamin Dales; her brother, Wade Hinson; and three sisters, Janice Gaddy, Margaret King, and Gail Price. -
