Alan Gregory Raulerson

April 23, 1957 — June 22, 2011

Alan Gregory Raulerson passed on June 22, 2011 at the age of 54 in Pineville, NC. He was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his death and is finally in peace and without pain. Alan lived the life he chose to live, on his own terms and had few regrets. Although his time on this earth was short, he touched many lives and left a lasting impression. He was always there when someone needed help or had a problem when he was able. He was a very charitable man; he supported many charities including the American Cancer Society. He also took care of his mother, Annette, and her dog Katie upon his moving to South Carolina until his sudden death. Alan loved NASCAR, especially driver, Dale Earnhardt. He also loved football and kept up with Middle Tennessee State University sports, the school his daughter Sarah goes to, and flew the MTSU flag proudly in his front yard. He always planted a garden in the summer and if he could not plant one, he did at least plant tomatoes. Although he was born and raised in Bartow, FL he graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte, NC. After graduation he moved to Franklin, TN where Alan went to work at Manner Merchandise, which was co-owned by his father, J.W. Establishing a very good work ethic. He later went to work at CPS (American Greetings) in Franklin, TN for several years. After moving to South Carolina his working career ended after several events that left him permanently disabled. Alan is survived by his mother, Annette Raulerson of Fort Mill, SC; Daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Raulerson of Columbia, TN; Brothers: Jim (Linda) Raulerson of Mint Hill, NC; Paul (Tanya) Raulerson of Mint Hill NC; Sisters: Roxanne (Randy) Brewer of Fort Mill, SC; and Stephanie (Bryant) Gregory of Tega Cay, SC. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, all of whom Alan adored, also survive him. Special friend who was always there for him, Rusty Fowler and Alan's ex-wife and the mother of his only child, Sandra Raulerson of Columbia, TN who still cared about him survive Alan. His father, J.W. Raulerson, preceded him in death. Although Alan may be gone, he will never be forgotten. We know he will be watching over us and will always be in our hearts. He will be greatly missed. -
