Understanding Our Fees
We are pleased to provide you with a full disclosure of all of our service fees upon request.
To help you understand our fees, we have provided an outline below of the categories that make up an account or Statement of Funeral Services and Third Party Charges. There are basically three sections that make up a final care account: Professional Service fees, Casket and Other Goods selections, and Third Party Cash Disbursements that would also include taxes on applicable items.
To help consumers, The Federal Trade Commission, states that all funeral providers must provide an itemized General Price List of all of their related professional service fees as well as casket and other goods fees. This list, though subject to change by a funeral provider at any time, must be available at the consumers' request without cost or obligation.
We pride ourselves on always being one of the most cost-conscience funeral providers in the area, although many expect our charges to be much higher given our level of professionalism, unique personalization, and our ethical standards. Consumers and families finally can learn first hand that there is a difference in the service we provide and that it is not necessary, unless you just desire to do so, to return to an original funeral provider used for generations, even if prepaid.
All prepaid and prearranged decisions may be transferred to another provider, even if the decision to change is at the time services are required, regardless.
We trust that our practice will give you one more reason to give us serious consideration when seeking a funeral provider that is pro-actively working towards providing you the highest standards of services, with personal attention to every detail, and at your convenience, with sensible and affordable solutions.
This section contains the actual professional services that we render which includes:
This section is not just specific to a casket that a family selects. All of the Goods we offer are priced separately - meaning the offering you see for a casket is for the casket itself with no other items included. This can often become confusing to families. Some of the other types of merchandise you might find in this section of the funeral account are: burial vaults, cremation urns, and upgraded stationary packages. Again, each is itemized based on your selection and a total is itemized under "Merchandise". As always, you are free to purchase or acquire these items from any other funeral provider or other source. Receiving funeral providers cannot charge any handling or administration fees when goods are purchased elsewhere.
Third Party Cash Disbursements
Cash disbursements are just as they imply: third party expenses, not in our control, that may be added to the total expense of the services you have selected. These expenses may be paid through us and are due at the time services are requested.
Typical cash disbursements might include:
