Condolence: I am stunned, shocked and saddened to hear of Ted's passing. We lived such parallel lives for so long at Reichhold and then the BIP transition. Ted used to come by the house from time to time in his travels once we moved to Greenville. "Hi Guy" was his standard greeting. Ted was a knowledgeable and hard worker and my counterpart as business manager for years. I was just thinking of him this week while telling one of the "war stories" of my food poisoning event once while traveling with Ted and he pulled both his and my weight with the customer. He was a mentor to many and a friend to all. I cannot imagine the world without Ted in it somewhere. My sincere condolences MaryAnn and family, I wish I had known in time to pay my last respects at his funeral but will spend a quiet moment in memory thinking of "Hilbert" and our many travels together, Godspeed Teddy!
Condolence: My thoughts and prays have been with Ted since I found out about his passing….what a shock it was to me.
I can hardly believe he’s gone.
Everybody loved Ted.
He was a good friend & great ambassador for Allnex & the coatings/resin industry & will be sorely missed by all.
He did so much for myself & PenPoly …..we could never say thanks enough.
I wish I would have had the opportunity to tell him thank you just one more time.
Every time I hear or see the word Cymel……………I’ll always think of Ted.
Please pass my respects & deepest condolences on to Ted’s family for me.
Condolence: Dear Maryann and Hilbert family. On behalf of all of Ted's friends and colleagues at allnex, we send our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy.
Ted will be deeply missed, leaving behind the fondest of memories and great stories that we all have come to know of him. Ted’s contagious energy and passion for allnex and the coatings industry, in general, was unparalleled. Ted was truly an icon for our industry. He knew his business like the back of his hand, he knew everyone and every company, and he was passionate and took great pride in a job well-done. Ted was a great Salesman, but he was more than that. He also had great business acumen and took a longer strategic view into managing his business. No one was more dedicated and harder working than Ted. It was normal to see emails from him late in the evenings and then again at 4 or 5am the next morning. I will miss our near daily conversations and phone calls. With Ted's larger than life personality and infectious smile that he shared with everyone, it was easy to be lulled into thinking that he would be around forever. I will especially remember Ted for kindness and generosity more than anything else. He was always willing to share his time and his knowledge for anyone that was interested. We have a lost a trusted colleague, a dear friend, and a great man. He will be sorely missed, but he will never be forgotten. God bless you and your family.
Condolence: With heartfelt sympathy to Maryann and the entire Hilbert family I also want to say Thank You for sharing such a wonderful human being with the rest of us throughout his life.
To know him as a colleague was a magnificent benefit to hundreds of people who got to do so throughout Ted's career
To know Ted as mentor was a blessing to me throughout our travels together and his unselfish and complete giving of his time, knowledge, personality and professionalism were lessons I cherished and can hopefully carry through my career as a tribute to Ted and all of you.
To know TED as a FRIEND was a life changing enrichment I could have never dreamed of having from the first day I met him until the last day that we talked.
Until I see him again, I am forever grateful to him
Condolence: In the short 18 months that I have had the honor & privilege of working with Ted, he welcomed me to the team with open arms. Ted had a wealth of knowledge and perfected the art of supporting his valued customers, while also managing the business's desired outcomes.
Out of all the wonderful attributes which Ted had, his passion for life is what I will miss the most.
To Ted's cherished family and loved ones, please know Ted made such a profound impact on so many people whether you knew him for only a few months, like myself, or many years. I wish you strength and comfort and hope the countless memories and stories of the special life Ted led helps you through this difficult time.
Condolence: I am so sad to hear about Ted's passing. I have known him for many years in the coatings business. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the business. He was also a kind and generous person as I knew him; always fun to be with and listening to his great stories. He will be missed!~
Condolence: I worked with Ted for many years. He was always so kind, funny and full of life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My very deepest condolences to you all....I truly hope you find strength and comfort in your beautiful memories. Heaven has most definitely gained another angel. May he rest easy in the hands of the Lord.
Condolence: I was shocked when I received the message. I had information exchange with him the days before. I think he loved his job very much and I liked his very specific humor and of course the stories he could tell, especially from his former Reichhold times. He was a very professional salesman and a very good entertainer. It was a pleasure travelling with him and I’ll remember him, especially when I will come to the US. He is leaving a gap in our organization. I’m very said to see him passing away so early and so close before retirement. I wish his family all the courage and strength being needed in this difficult time.
Condolence: Fred and I were so shocked and saddened to hear that Ted passed away. As we served together with the Central Church Counting Team, we always enjoyed counting money with him. Ted always was friendly and had that outgoing personality. Our condolences are for his family, and we will pray for the days ahead.
