Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. I believe I am a cousin to Sallye. My grandmother was Nannie Melton. Aunt Sis and Uncle Purser used to visit her years ago. Sallye and I went to school together at West Mecklenburg. She was such a kind person. Everyone loved her.
Condolence: You were the first family member of my sweet Stephen's family that I met. You welcomed me as if I were already your sister-in-law for years. You always showed love, laughter and acceptance to everyone. Stephen loved you so very much and spoke of you often. I take comfort in knowing that he was one of the ones who greeted you when you went home. You will be missed by so many sweet Sallye, however, AI look forward to seeing you again in my forever home.
Condolence: I had the privilege of knowing Sallye in many different settings. She was a fellow church member, then my friend, then my client, then my employee, and later my housemate. She laughed often and loved Jesus more than anyone I've ever met. She made a lasting impression on me (the tiger story will stay with me forever!) and I'm grateful for her impact in my life.
My condolences to her children, the Sorrentino family, and the many others who are grieving.
Condolence: Dear Mahaffey family, I am so sorry to have read of the recent death of your loved one Sallye. Please accept my most sincere condolences. May you find comfort from the Scriptures at John 5:28,29 where Jehovah God promises a resurrection of our loved ones through his son Christ Jesus. And then the wonderful hope in the near future to the end of all the causes for our sufferings including sickness and death promised at Revelation 21:3-5. When I've lost loved ones these Scriptures have comforted me as I hope they will help your family also. In your time of need may God's loving arms surround your family during this most difficult time of your lives. Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss.
Condolence: Sallye was a dear sweet mentor to me on many occasions throughout our friendship. I could always count on her to be an uplifting presence in my life. She always kept her deep and abiding faith in the face of any hardship and was an excellent example of a Proverbs 31 woman of God. I will miss our times together and all the laughter we shared. Sallye will be truly missed.
Condolence: Hello dear family and friends of my big sister Sallye. I am so sorry that I am not able to be with you. Please be assured of my love and all my prayers for you in your loss.
Sallye was full of love for life and for you. I can still hear her laughter, which was a welcome sound every time you got to speak with her. She had the best attitude and we all should try and be just like her.
I will miss my big sister but I do look forward to seeing her again because we both believe in the resurrection by Christ Jesus. I like Job 14:13-15 that says "you will call and I will answer". Job was not afraid to die because he believed in the resurrection too. We all should take account of James 4:13-15 "you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. For you are a mist that appears for a little while and then disappears". Let's make today count. Do something kind for someone, just like Sallye did. And keep the faith.
Thank you for loving Sallye. She had so many good friends and people that cared for her. I am truly and eternally thankful for that and for you. Much love, Julie C. Preslar
