Condolence: We have so many fond memories of Dan and enjoyed a lot of activities with "The New Creation". We always admired his musical talent and dedication to make music a part of worship and praise to God.
We love you Mildred and Melody. You have our deepest sympathy.
Condolence: We thank God for the privilege of knowing Dan for many years as a friend and Brother in Christ. Such wonderful memories of Dan, Mildred and Melody at the "old" Garr Memorial Church, the great choir under Dan's direction, Camp Lurecrest, dinner at the Lamplighter, sitting together at Primetimers at Central Church, hearing Dan play the organ or piano, his great sense of humor...love for The Lord, family and friends...Dan's faithfulness in visiting the sick and shut-ins. He was truly an example of Christ to all who knew him. We mourn with the family and yet celebrate his homegoing. "WELL DONE THY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, ENTER INTO THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD".
Thank you for always generously sharing your husband and father. It was an honor, privilege & joy to have known this gentle giant. I am smiling thinking of the reunion that welcomed Dan to heaven --- Mrs. Hannah Garr, Alfred & Meryle, Willard, Steve and so many, many more. When I get there I hope to be greeted with music from this amazing soul. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you both during this difficult time.
Condolence: Dan was the sweetest kindest genuine men I have ever known. Also one of the top musicians I ever had the pleasure of working with. He will be greatly missed. When I get to heaven, and if they let me sing,I want Dan White playing the organ with me. ❤️❤️
Condolence: What a thrill it was for me to know Dan as a young teenager trying to hear God's voice as to my life's work. Dan was so influential in my life and in my choice of making music my vocation. I still think my audition and acceptance into the singing group Re'Generation was because of his piano accompaniment!
What an awesome time we had in the singing group, New Creation. Dan made it so much fun, and our short but hectic traveling and singing in churches was the catalyst for me to make music my course of study in college. I owe him many thanks for investing in my life,
Dan will be greatly missed, but oh how that heavenly grand piano is sounding about now,
Condolence: I was in "New Creation" when Dan was directing it and we traveled all over the East Coast. He was a brilliant and compassionate man - who gave up a huge design and architectural career to work with a church and it's young people. He will be greatly missed and I was honored to know him (and get yelled at by him a few times... :-)
